HINDI GAME: 7 - RAINBOW

IDEA: game for children in a classroom. It is a learning tool as it is more fun to learn while playing a game than to be taught words via text books and rote.

rules:
aim: to make words. 3 rounds to score. whoever gains the maximum points wins.
players can use vowels at any time. repetition of letters is allowed.

2 letter words - 1 point
3 letter words - 3 points
4 letter words - 5 points


ROUND ONE:
1) the adult picks up 4 consonant letters and then announcing each letter as he places them on the magnetic board in the position they fall in - (grid)

(this allows the child to hear the sound also match the position visually on the board, relates to the order in which they are taught to say it)

2) whoever makes the first 7 words has to call out "RAINBOW" or "satrangi" (working title)
3) 1st round winner gets 30 points bonus plus points for each word made
4) the players seven words are announced.
5) if anyone has them they have to cancel them
5) all players mark their points against the remaining words on their sheet.

ROUND 2:
1) another 4 letters are put on the board .(total 10)
2) this time the player who makes the first 7 words gets bonus 20 points
3) the words are announced, common words are cut and points are calculated.

ROUND 3: last round
1)another 4 letters are placed on the board
2) bonus is only 10 points
3) the words are announced, common words are cut and points are calculated.

whoever wins gets the maximum points wins the game.
